Alan Gayle is the founder and President of Via Nova Investment Management.  His 40-plus years of investment-related experience spans the periods of accelerating inflation in the 1970's and the OPEC oil embargo, the tight monetary policies of the 1980’s that pushed interest rates over 20%, the strong growth and stock market gains of the 1990’s, the Dot-Com bubble, and the Financial Crisis.

Building successful portfolios has been a highlight of his career.  As Director of Asset Allocation at RidgeWorth Capital Management, Alan managed the firm’s Allocation Strategies — four mutual funds that collectively won the 2010 Lipper Award for best three-year performance in the Mixed-Asset Category.

Prior to his success as an investment manager, Alan was the Chief Economist at a major regional bank, where he advised senior management on emerging trends and strategies.  He also testified to Congress twice on economic and regulatory issues.  He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the College of William & Mary and his masters degree in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.

At Via Nova, Alan continues to build and manage successful portfolios for individuals and organizations, not only to achieve competitive investment returns, but to build portfolios that reflect a higher degree of corporate responsibility and sustainability.

His goal: Raising your portfolio to a higher standard.
